Quick fixes
The game will not launch or closes unexpectedly.
Restart the iPad, confirm you have the latest Wormdrop and iPadOS updates, and check that the device has available storage. If the problem continues, include the iPad model, iPadOS version, and what appeared immediately before the issue in your report.
I cannot hear the worms.
Check the in-game volume settings, iPad volume, Silent Mode, Focus settings, and the selected audio output. Disconnect Bluetooth headphones temporarily to rule out output routing.
Push-to-talk is unavailable.
Open iPad Settings, find Wormdrop Battleground, and allow Microphone and Speech Recognition. The game requests on-device recognition; if it is unavailable, use the canned taunt picker instead.
The controls feel stuck or misaligned.
Pause and resume the match, then rotate back to landscape if the system changed orientation. Restart the app if a touch control remains latched. Tell us which control, orientation, and iPad model were involved.
Can I play without an account or API key?
Yes. No Wormdrop account is required. Core local play is available without entering third-party credentials. On-device AI requires a compatible iPad and operating-system availability; fallback bot behavior keeps matches playable when it is unavailable.
AI troubleshooting
Why is on-device AI unavailable?
Apple's on-device Foundation Models require eligible hardware, a supported iPadOS version, Apple Intelligence enabled, a supported Siri language, and completion of any system model download. Availability is controlled by the operating system.
Why did a remote AI request fail?
Check the selected provider, endpoint, model name, network connection, API-key status, account quota, and provider service status. If you use a custom proxy, confirm it supports an OpenAI-compatible chat endpoint.
Could remote AI cost money?
Yes. Remote providers may charge your account. Wormdrop displays provider-reported cost where available and estimates elsewhere, but your provider dashboard and invoice are authoritative.
Is my API key safe?
The key is stored locally for game use and sent to the endpoint you choose. Never include it in screenshots or support mail. If you think it was exposed, revoke it with the provider immediately and clear it from Wormdrop's AI settings.
